Have you ever wondered what was in my bag besides the obvious photographic items? Camera, back up camera, various lenses, flash, batteries and storage cards.
Every photographer is different and they will often have some items that fit into the genre of their work. For example a wedding photographer often carries a tide pen and mints. As a pet photographers you can imagine I have a few different items are in my bag.
For those moments when a dog has to go, I have poop bags. Water for those warm days and modeling can be thirsty work. Squeakers and animal calls to help gain your dogs attention. Show style leads for those that want their dog to go collar free but still keep them safely on lead. There is golden nuggets of cooperation, otherwise known as freeze dried beef liver. High value and even the most discerning of dogs love them. And during the summer I have dog mosquito spray as well as some human grade mosquito spray. Those bugs can be relentless. Sometimes I myself spray the dog bug spray on my head. It smells good and it is all natural so I don't worry about it getting in my eyes or mouth.
Often things get hectic when you are running out the door to your shoot and you forget those little things like poop bags or treats. But don't worry, I have your back!
Starting in August I will have something new and exciting for dogs having a portrait session. I am excited to announce that I will now have a toy bin for those doggos having a studio or outdoor session! They will be able to chose their own toy after their shoot as a gift from me for being amazing dogs!
